I'm not gonna lie Lynyrd Skynyrd is pretty high up there on my list of favorite bands.  Is that weird? No? Okay. I listened to them a lot on my drive yesterday and yes, there were plenty of awesome dance moves during that six hours.  Don't judge me. You know you love free bird.

Boys, boys, boys....

The story goes like this: When my sweet Momma started her family she prayed for five boys.  After four girls though, (and obviously reaching perfection with the youngest, me. ) she finally gave up... She always said God had a sense of humor!  Now my Poppa on the other hand, is a lucky man!  (Or at least we try to convince him that he is.) But now that my sisters are all grown up and starting families of their own...  He's finally getting some boys.   But were I honest with you I'd say I don't mind these boys at all; no not one bit.  :)  Collin pulling off his best Abercrombie impression. Shmigley Wrigley. One of my favorite dogs (and boys!) in the world.  The Boys!  Okay so this one is my favorite of the day. Kelly how could you like this you might say. Why are you man handling your poor nephew? But oh, don't let his dramatic looks deceive you; I assure you  we were having a great time...

Summer

There is nothing like being home with your family.  Country music and the windows rolled down.  Backyard baseball with the nephews. Pool parties and gradumatation celebrations.  And a wholllle lotta love to go 'round.  L O V E being H O M E.  This week has been a whirl!  First off I got to celebrate this sweet girls birthday. Courty is a doll. We go for long drives and she keeps me laughin' all the time. A real sassafrass with a heart of gold, she loves Johnny Cash and Jesus too and could school you at baking on any given day. We love her! Don't judge me by my dirty hair... or my unedited photos.  Blue steel.  We went to this adorable old house turned restaurant here in town. It was started a few years ago by two friends who say as kids they always cooked and baked together daydreaming of opening a restaurant someday. How fun is that? I mean as a kid when I baked with friends or threw tea...

Love BIG. Live SIMPLE.

I've been listening to a lot of James Taylor lately. Just can't get enough of his sweetness.  I'm a bit (okay, this may or may not be a huge understatement) of a cheesy girl, you'll learn this quickly. And no , not in the "rainbows and butterflies" way, I just... can appreciate the moment. That's all. I have been told I compliment others a lot... like to the point that they can't take me seriously haha. As in compliments from me are so common that they begin to lose their meaning. Can you believe that? I can't decide if I should be sad or proud haha!  But I think people know when you're being genuine to them and you know what else I think? What good does a compliment do if it stays in your head! You could make someones day. So I will always let people know I love them, love what they do, and love having them in my life. If that makes them just a tad uncomfortable, then hey! Let them call me cheesy. At least they know. That's the p...

This past term was a bit of a stress overload for me. I overworked myself and finally decided to up and quit my job and truly take the summer off, something I haven't done since before high school. So here I am. No job, no school, about to take off for the summer when my mom informs me that I have to get my wisdom teeth pulled before I leave . (Don't ask me what the rush was about, something about insurance reasons? Or under the table payment? The black market? I don't know.) But really, just what did she think this was, the Jerry Springer Show? You can't just go interrupting a girls quarter life crisis for oral surgery and you especially can not intervene on this new "devil may care" attitude I'm trying on here. I'm doing what everyone wants to do... running away . I'm trying to find myself! My bliss! Nirvana! Direction! Or at least a few waves before I head back to the rain. Didn't she understand?? But that she did ...
